We had a great tournament and all the cool kids showed up. Unlike the last tournament, there were no controversies and it was very refreshing.

We had a full house of 20 players. With the format change to a freeze-out with onl;y one add-on, play was very tight for the first 3 rounds. Everyone added on and the chip count was a record 1,000,000 chips in play. This made the pot very large = $893. There was a safe for 7th and the prizes rounded out as follows:

1st = $325

2nd = $218

3rd = $128

4th = $94

5th = $58

6th = $40

7th = $30

Rico, the returning champion, was the first out. Then they fell fast down to my elimination when my 88 couldn't hold up to Jesse's 77.

And the winner is Mikey = $325. On the final hand Peter pushed with QQ and Michael called with Q6o. The flop brought a 6 and the turn another one. It was over.

Tourney on January 26th - 6PM

All - we are hosting a tournament on Saturday January 26th at 6PM. Please RSVP by Thursday midnight for 2,500 chip bonus, show up ontime for another 2,500 chips.

$20 freeze-out (20,000 chips), $10 add-on (10,000 chips) - same blind structure as previous tourneys.

Been a While....

It's been a while since I have posted, but we are well into the new year and it's time to get back into poker.

I have decided to run the Championship Tourney this weekend, January 19th. The Jackpot has grown to $361, so we should have a huge payoff. Like last year, we will have a discounted buy-in based on your ranking. I will update the prize pool as the players respond to the email. I have posted the rankings and the buy-in below. If your name isn't on the list, and you received the invite, your entry fee is $36 ($10 added because if your name isn't listed above, you didn't contribute to the Jackpot pool).

I have also decided to post the tournament RSVP's on my blog. I will send out the tourney announcements through email and post the people that have signed-up by replying to the email on my blog. Remember, I can only take the first 20 people.
